Our family joined Pioneer Drive in the early 70s, and Brother Jack baptized me when I was 12 years old. Some of my fondest memories are of Pioneer Drive Baptist and the friends we made there. Brother Jack always had that loving smile and patience to spare with us kids. PDBC laid a solid foundation for my faith that continues today. I am thankful and blessed to have had the privilege to know him. Rhonda (Miller) Windsor

Cindy was my first summer missionary when I pastored in the Chicago Metro Baptist area in 1974. Bro Jack & Betty came that summer to visit. He became a powerful influence & encourager during my ministry in Chicago and continued to be a lifelong friend.
God Bless, Jack Gilliland

Brother Jack was such a wonderful pastor at PDBC. My family attended 1969-1980, so I was fortunate to grow up in this church. I treasure his leadership, along with so many other adults on his staff (Fred MacNabb and Carolyn Newman among others). The annual birthday calls were such a treat. Prayers for the entire Ridlehoover family.

Brother Jack was just the best! There are really not enough good words to describe him - caring, kind, hard worker, smart, and just a great man of God. The years our family spent at PDBC under his leadership, were some of the best years of our lives! We love you Brother Jack!

We pray for God’s peace and strength to Bro Jack’s family. Our Mom and Dad were blessed to know and work with Bro Jack during his time at College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor. They spoke often of Bro Jack and were always thrilled to visit with him when they could.
With sympathy and condolences to the Ridlehoover family,

Brother Jack married my Husband and I back on September 1st, 1984. When we would take my Dad to church in 2018, he would still remember us and our wedding. I loved Brother Jack. Such a sweet man. What a life he had. He is where we all long to be now. Rest in Peace Brother Jack, thank you for being our minister and officiating my wedding. You made it truly special.

I pray that you will know God's Peace.
I remember Jack saying ‘Glory Momma!’. He was known for 15 minute sermons. Our family cherished your friendship over these many years. 60+? Dad will welcome another friend.
I will share this news with College Avenue in McGregor.
Much Love, (Bill), Nadine, Duff and Dianne Burkes

Brother Jack was my pastor for the 13 years we lived in Abilene. He couldn't have come into my life at a better time. My children were teenagers and they were able to be loved and nurtured by the folks at PDBC just when they needed it most. He was a wonderful preacher and a terrific mentor. There are so many people whose lives were impacted by this very special man of God. While we will miss him here, how wonderful to know we will be with him again in Heaven! Much love to his family as they go through this time of grief. I pray that their memories of Brother Jack will bring them peace, comfort and most of all, JOY.

May God give you joy in the midst of grief. Absent from those who loved him here but present and accounted for in the one who loves him eternally. May God keep the Ridlehoover family in comfort as He fulfills Bro. Jack’s joy and hope.
