We met Marilyn up here in Alaska when she helped First Batist Church of Willow put on their Vacation Bible School a couple of years ago.
She loved the children and she was so kind to our boys, but had a special bond with our son Jace Cogdill.
Thank you Marilyn for sharing yourself and for being such a wonderful light in a dark world.
She loved to follow Jace and his mushing. I think she would be proud of what he has done since they last spoke.

I’m truly going to miss her greeting of hello son every time I called her. She lit up my day every time I called her. This world has lost a bit of light without her in it any more. She was cherished and loved by many and will be missed by many. Goodbye sweet mama mare. Me and my family love you very much

Marilyn was an absolute shining light for God. She was hilarious and such a joy to be around. I only got to know her for a few years as we were part of the same life group. The time spent with her will be forever cherished. I'm so thankful that I have the assurance that I will see her again in Heaven. What an amazing day that will be!

It was a blessing to have her as a Grandmother, she was a very fun grandma, I am happy we got to spend a ton of memories together that I will think about forever and never forget about, a memory I had when we lived in Hamlin there was a field across from the farm and we got the gator stuck while driving around and papaw had to come with truck and pull us out lol, we would drive the gators down FM 668 to the airport and would drive the gator around the airport and watch airplanes land and take off and one day we were driving back I was standing up on the back of the gator and I fell off the bed and she turned around and went back for me. Another wonderful memory we had she took me on a mission trip to Alaska on my birthday it was so much fun. I am so happy she got to see me and Justiss graduate HS! I love you so much MareMare and I miss you so much I am so glad she is in much better place and I’m glad she’s not living in the hospital anymore being sick and suffering. We love you lots MareMare I will see you in heaven one day ❤️
