On March 4, 2021, Claire Adams Johnson passed from this world to be reunited with her parents Ollie and Oren Adams and brother Jim Sanford Adams. Claire died surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Claire was born August 19, 1934 in Denton, Texas. After graduation from Denton High School in 1951, she continued her education at North Texas State University and thereafter pursued a Master's Degree in Education. Claire was married to Dr. John L. Johnson for 67 years. She managed their dental office for many years.

Claire was a stalwart for The Republican Party. She worked on the campaigns of all The Republican Party's nominees for president of the United States, from Barry Goldwater through President George W. Claire was an officer of the Texas Federation of Republican Women and was appointed by the governor as a Commissioner of the Texas Workforce Commission. President George W. Bush hosted a private reception in the Oval Office for her in appreciation of her dedicated service to The Republican Party. She was also his guest aboard Air Force One.

As a civilian liaison from Abilene to Strategic Air Command at Dyess Air Force base, she was privileged to tour NATO and U.S. Military installations in several foreign countries including England, Germany, Spain, and Turkey.

Claire was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in Bible Study Fellowship with friends for many years.

Her eyes sparkled when she proudly shared the accomplishments of her grandchildren, Jordan, Erin and Reagan and her vision of the bright future in store for each of them.
