John and Tina Hunter served as Directors of our Sunday School department, when I was in high school. They opened their home to all of us, welcoming us even when it was a little late to drop by and knowing that teenagers sometimes need a safe place to go. I have so many fond memories of hours spent at their old home on Minter Lane, playing pool in the converted garage and just having good conversation. Both of them are a light in my life that still burns bright after many years. John is in a better place now, and we know that because of the way he LIVED his witness of the difference God made in his life. God bless this precious family!
Uncle John's life was a model for using his God gifted talents, work ethic, and caring heart to make his mark on this old world. He will certainly be missed, but the lessons his life gave to those of us fortunate enough to know and love him will remain and be passed on for generations to come.
