Zachary Leonidas Ely

Zachary Leonidas Ely, 21 month old son of Rusty and Samantha Ely, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Zachary was born on August 16, 2008 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Samantha (Lopez) and Rusty Ely. Zachary is survived by his parents, Samantha and Rusty Ely of Abilene; two brothers, Ethan Ely and Hunter Ely; and two sisters, Natalie Lopez and Annalissie Lopez. Survivors also include grandparents, Diana Bien (GaGa), Greg Marsh (G-Paw), Roger Ely (Pappy), Pifi and Gilbert Torres and Sammy Lopez; great-grandparents, Virginia Ross, Mary Hucklebridge and Jack, Frank and Lupe Juarez, Erlinda Mancha and Raul Lopez, Sr.; aunts, Sally Foss (Joshua), Misty Folger (David), Elsie Lopez and Rachelle Ely; uncles, Jim Thomsen and Joe Lopez (Marsha); and numerous cousins.
