Willie Hawley

Willie “Billie” Hawley, 85, formerly of Cloverdale and Windsor, CA, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 in Abilene, TX. Billie was born in Spiro, OK, to Roland and Lois Huddleston on July 4, 1927. She married Carl Warren Hawley on May 2, 1942 in Parker, AZ. She was a rancher in Cloverdale, CA. She was very involved in numerous community programs to include the Cloverdale 4-H Club, the Windsor Fire Department, the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, and the Windsor Kiwanis. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl, her son, Don, and her granddaughter, Claire Fogelman. She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jean Benbow; her granddaughter, Laurie Buchanan and her husband Tom; grandson-in-law Paul Frank; great-grandsons Christopher Buchanan and his wife Marcella, Eric Buchanan, Karl Fogelman and his wife Donna, and Joseph Frank-Benbow; great-great-granddaughters Kylie and Phoenix Fogelman; “adopted” grandson Ryan Osmon and his family; special sister-in-law Virginia Hawley and nephew Vern Hawley and wife Reba; along with numerous other family members, and close friends. At her request, Billie was cremated and a private burial will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are being made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Billie may be given to the charity of your choice.
