Wesley Ditmore, 68, of Abilene, Tx passed away on February 11, 2017 after a brief illness.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday February 17,2017. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday February 18, 2017. The visitation and services will be held at and under the direction of Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX. The Family is requesting Dallas Cowboy or Texas Tech attire be worn by all attending.
Wesley was born in Abilene, Texas to Charles and Naoma Ditmore. He graduated from Abilene High School and Abilene Christian University. He married Gail Atkinson Ditmore, M.D. on June 12, 1971. Wes was a small business owner in Abilene and Lubbock for over 30 years.
Wes was an avid fan of Texas Tech and the Dallas Cowboys, Wes was a founding member of The Lot 4 Gate 6 Tailgaters for Cowboy games.
Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Naoma Ditmore, and his wife Gail Atkinson Ditmore, M.D.
Wesley is survived by his daughter, Melyssa Rievers and grandsons Cameron and Justin of Abilene, TX., son Micah and his wife Irene of Horseshoe Bay, TX and his brother Cy Ditmore of Horseshoe Bay, TX.

Wes's extended family of The Lot 4 Gate 6 Tailgaters was very special to him. Especially his ladies...Amy, Erin, Patti, Dorothy, Alison, Brandi, Janna and Natalie. Special love to Gary and Sue, Harrison, Larry, Tiger, Brad, Bill, Frank, Cowboy Steve, Janie and Scott Ficken.
