Wesley Crowe

Wesley Don Crowe of Abilene died July 10, 2024 at his home.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 13 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Buffalo Gap Cemetery, with Bro. David Cason officiating.

He was born September 25, 1947 in Winters, Texas to parents Lois (Green) and Kavanaugh Crowe. Wes graduated from barber college in 1964, and married Gladys (Morren) on July 2, 1966 in Abilene. He worked as a barber for 57 years in Abilene.

Wes made many friends in his business. He loved traveling with his wife and teaching his boys to fish and play golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Alan Reid Crowe, brothers Larry Crowe, and Kenneth Crowe, sisters Kava McKee, Doris Koone, and Jeanette David.

Wes is survived by his wife Gladys, sons Alan and wife Carrie of Abilene, and Jody and wife Marilyn of Abilene, grandson Cutter and wife Cassie Crowe of Abilene, granddaughters Riley and Parker Crowe of Abilene.

Pallbearers will be nephews: Todd Crowe, Mike Crowe, Chris Crowe, and Kevin Crowe.
