Wendy Ann Havner, 48, of Tuscola died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at an Abilene medical center.
The daughter of Gail (Sodin) and Lawrence Ross, Wendy was born on January 19, 1962 in Hoven, South Dakota. She was a 1981 graduate of Cooper High School. On September 5, 1981, she married David Lawrence Havner in Abilene. She was a purchasing agent for Fehr Foods and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Abilene.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harry and Angeline Sodin, and paternal grandparents, Howard and Beryle Ross.
Wendy is survived by her husband, David Havner of Tuscola; daughters, Jennifer Jones and husband Andy of San Angelo, and Shannon Havner of Abilene; father, Lawrence Ross of Houston; and mother, Gail McAlister and husband Craig of Granbury. Survivors also include four brothers and their spouses, Kevin and Karla Ross of Granbury, Larry and Anna Ross of Athens, Texas, Mike and Beverly Ross of Plano, and Mark and Connie Ross of Abilene, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Frederick Nawarskas officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m.
