Maxine Aaron Paulk, 88, passed away on Friday August 5, 2016 at her home in Buffalo Gap, Texas.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 8, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, at Buffalo Gap Church of Christ, 741 Litel Street in Buffalo Gap. Cremation arrangements will be by The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
Maxine was born in Hobbs, Texas to Frank and Hattie Aaron on September 8, 1927. She married Jesse Paulk on April 29, 1946 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Maxine worked at Hendrick Medical Center in the Recovery Room for 30 years. She absolutely loved the RR Staff and often shared wonderful stories. She worked 10 years for Dr. and Mrs. Lee Rhode at Historic Village in Buffalo Gap, and served on the Old Settlers Committee with her dear friend, Tom Perini, for many years.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, four brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren.
Maxine is survived by daughters, Candy of Buffalo Gap, Deborah of Abilene and Robbie of Argyle; her grandchildren, Darryl, David, Amy, Nicholas, Rachelle, Casey, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Christian, Austin, Zoe, Forrest, Ryland and Lane; and great-great-grandchildren Christian and Kayden. Survivors also include two sisters, Johnnie of Hico and Margaret of Hamlin.
