Vivian Whites Davis, 87, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 in a local care facility. A funeral service, with Norman Archibald officiating, will be Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Vivian was born December 20, 1919 in Cameron, Texas to Thomas and Eunice (Holcomb) Whites. She graduated from High School in Cameron, Texas in 1937 and then attended the University of Texas in Austin for 2 ½ years. May 22, 1942, Vivian married Wallace "Wally" Davis in Temple, Texas. She worked for Tex-Sun Glove Company for 2 years prior to working for Exxon for over 27 years. Vivian had lived in Abilene since 1980. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church and a member of the Chancel Choir.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Thomas Carroll Whites, Jr. She is survived by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
