Vinita Beights was born in Farmington, New Mexico on December 17, 1961 and passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018. She will be remembered for her strong comfort, deep love and heartfelt passion for humanity and The Lord.
She leaves her strength to her husband, Scott, who shared 40 years of marriage by her side. They met at a New Year's Eve dance as kids and we'd like to think she's still wearing her dancing shoes awaiting his arrival. She leaves her comfort to her children, Jeffery (Katy Cooper) of Tuscola, Texas, Jennifer (Michael Gallagher) of Keller, Texas and Joshua (Catrina) of Austin, Texas. She leaves her affection to her 8 grandchildren. There wasn't anything more important to her than being a mother or a grandmother and pieces of her beautiful character shine through in each of those left behind.
Vinita leaves her favor to her sisters, Cynthia Davis (Donald) of Bryant, Arkansas, Diane Dorman of Phoenix, Arizona and to her brothers Michael Dorman (Diane) of San Angelo, Texas and James Dorman of Snyder, Texas. Growing up, she loved to play the piano and was very involved in the local church. Snyder, Texas was her playground where even as a child her beautiful, strong, protective, full-of-life, prayerful, God-loving character shown through.
She had a vast interest in learning and a compelling passion to make sure that every child felt safe and loved which led her to her teaching degree and Bachelor of Behavioral Science at age 34 which she received from Hardin-Simmons University and her Masters of Education in Counseling which she received from Angelo State University. She graduated cum laude while also mothering and working.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Orpha Dorman, her sister, Nina Johnson and her grandson, Grant Gallagher.
