Truman Brooks, 80, of Hodges, Texas, passed from this life on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Midway Cemetery, County Road 428 in Jones County, Texas with Burtis Williams and Jeff Iorg, officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Truman was born on October 4, 1940 in Howard County, Texas to the late Ophila (Kingfield) and V.R. Brooks. He graduated from Flower Mound High School. He and Juanita Minor were married om May 10, 1978 in Abilene. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2014. He later married Wanda Snowden on January 20, 2017 in Hodges.
Truman worked as a John Deere service manager for the Yellow House Machinery. He was a member of the Hodges Baptist Church. His hobbies included playing dominoes at the Hodges Community Center and farming and ranching with his grandson Kyle.
Truman is survived by his wife, Wanda Brooks; his daughter Donna Kendrick, son Jerry Brooks, grandson Kyle Kendrick and wife Michelle, stepchildren, Jeff Iorg and wife Ann, Jimmy Iorg, Jeana Singleton, Loyd and Kelly Harris and step grandson Josh Harris and his wife Amanda and sister Martha Hays.
Family suggests memorials may be made to Midway Cemetery Association.
