Trinell Couch passed away on September 1st, 2021, in Abilene, Texas.
Trinell was born in Brownwood, TX to Herman Lee Carmack and Margrene Hutto on May 30th, 1942. She grew up in Abilene. Trinell would meet Mike Couch while attending high school at St. Josephs Academy. They were married after high school and would spend the next 61 years together. Trinell raised a family while she worked as the office manager for Gastroenterology Associates of Abilene. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling with Mike, working on crafts, spending time at the lake house and volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul thrift store. She also served on multiple committees at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Trinell was a dedicated wife, loving mother and "Nan" to her grandchildren. She cherished holidays, time with family and her grandchildren. Trinell looked forward to organizing the annual Carmack Family reunion and spending time with her extended family. On occasion, Trinell loved getting away to Shreveport and Lawton for the opportunity to take money from the "one-armed bandits". Every road trip or daily drive was not complete without her favorite Elvis songs playing in the background.
Trinell was proceeded in death by her husband Mike Couch, her parents, Herman and Margrene Carmack and her grandson, Cory Parker Couch.
Trinell is survived by her three children, Mishelle and husband Leland Godbee of Abilene, Shannon and wife Kelly Couch of Abilene and Cheryl and husband, Mark Menditto of New Braunfels. Trinell is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Heaton of Waxahachie, Joseph Menditto of San Antonio, Anna Menditto Perez and husband Ryan, David Purcell and her great grandchildren, Eva Elizabeth and Sebastian Edward Perez all of San Antonio and one nephew, Eddie Garcia and family of San Benito, TX. Also surviving is one Aunt, Neta Carmack-Reese and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Heaton, Joseph Menditto, David Purcell, Eddie Garcia, Leland Godbee, Ryan Perez and Mark Menditto.
Visitation Services will be held on Monday, September 6th, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Prayer Service and Rosary will follow visitation at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road at 10:00 am on Tuesday morning, September 7th with Very Rev. Santiago Udayar officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene TX.
In leu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store in Trinell's honor. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Hendrick Medical Plaza ER, Hendrick Medical Center ER North and ICU.
