Tony Keefer

Tony Keefer, 45, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006. A funeral service, with Les McGalliard, Larry Bell and Rob Cunningham officiating, will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at Southern Hills Church of Christ, 3666 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Gap Cemetery under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, April 14 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Tony was born on November 11, 1960 to Austin Keefer and Joan (Jones) Keefer in Abilene, Texas. On July 5, 1980, Tony married Brenda Harrison at Southern Hills Church of Christ. He was a member of the Oldham Lane Church of Christ and a former Deacon at Westgate Church of Christ. Tony was also a former board member for Jim Ned Schools and a member of the Abilene Firefighters Association. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Keefer; his grandfather, David Ray Keefer; and his grandparents, James Olan Jackson and Betty Elizabeth Jones. Survivors include: his wife, Brenda Keefer of Buffalo Gap; three daughters, Kamie, Kristin and Kourtney Keefer of Buffalo Gap; his father, Austin Keefer and wife, Evelyn of Abilene; his grandmother, Eula Mae Keefer of Abilene; his sister Debra Sanders and her husband Floyd of Abilene; his mother-in-law Judy Harrison of Potosi; his sister-in-law, Rhonda LaGrone and her husband Walter of Austin; two nieces, Shannon Sanders of Arlington and Beth LaGrone of Austin; and two nephews, Greg Sanders of Abilene and Scott LaGrone of Austin.
