Tommy Glen Sampson, 64, of Clyde, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 in Abilene.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
Tommy was born in Abilene to William Garlon Sampson and Elsie Louise (Gorman) Sampson on April 2, 1956. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1974. He married Sharra Kim Moore on January 20th, 1979 in Sagerton, Texas. Tommy worked as a machinist for Ludlum Measurements, Inc. in Sweetwater for 20 years.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Sharra Sampson of Clyde; son, John Floyd Sampson of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter, Samantha Elizabeth Louise Sampson of Garland; two sisters, Patsy McCall of San Angelo and Vickie Hudson of Little Elm. Also surviving Tommy are brothers and sister-in-law, Gary and Marie Moore of Abilene; Bobby and Tanny Angeley of Earth, TX; and Marc Moore of Clyde. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. Tommy is also survived by his close friend and colleague, Sal Moncada of Sweetwater.
