Gordon Lee

Thomas “Gordon” Lee, 59, of Dudley, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, in an Abilene Hospital.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Dudley Cemetery with Randy Leek officiating.

Gordon was born in Breckenridge, Texas to Sharon Marsha (Frick) and Tommy Edward Lee on September 23, 1963. Gordon spent many years at Clyde schools, graduating in 1982 from Brownwood High School. He was a captain on the 1981 state championship football team. Gordon married Connie Hayhurst in Dudley on October 5, 2019.  He served his country and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Gordon was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Epic Construction. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a proud NRA member.

Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Lee; step-son, Andrew Nowell; niece, Lindsey Leek.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of Dudley;  maternal grandmother, Evelyn Gray of Granbury; mother, Sharon Ventura and husband Don of Hudson Oaks; step-son, Collin Nowell and fiancé’ Liz and her daughter Stormie Simmons; brother, Theron Lee and wife Whendy of Merkel; sister, Shawna Leek and husband Randy of Mineral Wells; nieces, Brittany Sorrells and husband Michael, and Alexandra Yarbrough; nephews, Scott Leek, Kayson Lee, and Shane Sorrells; mother and father-in-law; Jay and Beth Hayhurst; sister-in-law, Vickie Hayhurst; Gordon is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends
