Our family's hero and captain went to meet His Savior face-to-face on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. We keep describing this event as both heartbreaking and glorious at the same time. It is hard to describe what an amazing man, husband and father he was to us but simply put, he was a man of unshakeable faith. We sang hymns in his final hours and through joyous tears proclaimed these words of comfort:
"From life's first cry to final breath Jesus commands our destiny."
Dr. Terry Boyd Bawcom was born on the eleventh of February 1944 to Juanita and Jack Bawcom. He attended Monahans High School, the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from University of Texas College of Dentistry in Houston, Texas. Terry and the love of his life, Connie, married and settled in Abilene, Texas where they established Terry's dental practice and raised 4 children. Terry practiced dentistry for more than 45 years where he was committed to his family, friends, patients and staff.
