Teresita LaGuardia Teresita LaGuardia, 62, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at a local hospital. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Bush officiating Teresita was born on September 19, 1944 in the Philippines to Isidro Gontang and Chelerina (Gilbuena) Gontang. On December 30, 1964, she married Russell Patrick LaGuardia in San Diego, California. Mrs. LaGuardia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Teresita was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, Russell Patrick LaGuardia of Abilene; her mother, Chelerina Gontang of South Lake Tahoe, California; her son Paul LaGuardia of Abilene; three daughters, Linda Bolduc of Germany, Frances Chapman and Bonny Blaylock both of Abilene; two brothers, Roy Gontang of South Lake Tahoe, California, and David Gontang of Dayton, Nevada; six sisters, Josie Mokhtari of Spokane, Washington, Cecelia LaRock of Beaverton, Oregon, Mary Ann Rounds of South Lake Tahoe, California, Betty Gontang of South Lake Tahoe, California, Mary Albernaz of Coventry, Rhode Island, and Virginia Garrigan of Green Cove Springs, Florida; her mother-in-law, Frances LaGuardia and sister-in-law, Carol Blake LaGuardia both of Hackensack, New Jersey; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
