Taylor Dye, 35, of Abilene Tx passed away peacefully at his home on November 8, 2024 in Abilene Tx.
Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Monday November 18th at Hamil Funeral home Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Hamil Funeral Home with Michael Smith of Beltway Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Taylor was born in Duncan Oklahoma to Sam and Donna Dye on December 8, 1988. Taylor was born with Down Syndrome and was a kind, loving soul. He went to school in Abilene where he attended Wylie from K- 12th and was a 2011 Wylie High school graduate. Taylor was a true Wylie Bulldog who always had a smile on his face.
Taylor "TayTay" was one of a kind who never complained about anything in life. He loved being with his nieces Morgan and Camri and playing in his pool. Taylor was full of life and enjoyed watching his favorite movie, Earnest goes to jail, while sipping on his Dr Pepper. His love for his Wylie Bulldogs, music (Garth Brooks) and having his loving family, friends and doctors by his side were the biggest rewards in his life.
Taylor fully trusted his doctors and knew when he would see them they would make him feel better and put a smile on his face. Taylor was always strong and beat all the odds.
Taylor was preceded in death by his Grandparents Glenn Don Bowen, Martha Alice Bowen, James Ray Dye and Willie Alice Koch Dye.
Taylor is survived by his parents Sam and Donna Dye, sister Misty (Jeremy) Travis (Abilene, TX) Nieces Morgan Travis and Camri Travis, Aunts Kim Vickers all of Abilene Texas, Bonnie (Rickey) Cowley (Potosi, TX), Beverly (Mark) Callender (Wichita Falls, TX), Peggy (King) David (Milbury Mass). Cousins Jennifer King (John Vasquez) (Abilene, TX), Whitney (Court) Pike (Big Spring, TX) Shy Cowley (Potosi, TX.) Kandis (John) Hirsch (Abilene, TX) Connie (Adam) Whitish (Belton, Tx) Codie (Kendal) Hollowell (Abilene, TX) Stephanie Lewis (Carrollton, TX) Heidi Carter (Wichita Falls, TX) and numerous 2nd cousins as well as lifelong friend Mr. Craig Bessent.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jeremy Travis, Craig Bessent, Rickey Cowley, Shy Cowley, Court Pike and John Vasquez.

The family of Taylor wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr Heaven, Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Hicks, Dr. Jordon, Dr. Hudman, Dr. Davis, Dr. Cedino, Sophia with Cooks Children's Hospital and UT Southwestern in Dallas Tx along with Carol Bylander (housekeeper).
Taylor loved all his doctors and nurses with all his heart.
