Susan Edna Sibley, 60, of Abilene, went home to be with her lord on January 31, 2008. Susan was born in Montana, to Frank and Rosemary Eagloski. Susan was raised in California and moved her family to Cross Plains, Texas in the early 1980's.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. Susan touched the lives of so many people. She never met a stranger, everyone was a friend. She devoted her life to taking care of others.
Survivors include children: son, Tom Sibley of Wichita Falls; daughter, Sheila Bronson and husband, Roy of Dix, Illinois; son, Don Sibley and wife, Kim of Abilene; son, Brian Sibley of Mason; sister, Kathy Eagloski of Abilene; brother, John Scott Eagloski of Abilene. She is also survived by nephews and niece: Paul Truair, Adam Garcia, Derik Eagloski, Danielle Eagloski and Taelor Rose Eagloski; grandchildren: Brodie Sibley, Alex and Darryl Bronson, Amanda and Sarah Myers, Christian Sibley, Jesse and Travis Sibley, Jared Vasconselles, Naomi and Joe Reese, and Dale Cunningham. Susan is also survived by her extended, invited family: Renee and Ivan Denny, Ivan Denny Jr, Kay McGarity, Sharon Coonon, Tom Reynolds, Eric Myers, and Killer, her beloved dog and best friend.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jesse Sibley III and her parents, Frank and Rosemary Eagloski.
Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A second memorial service and burial will be held at the Cross Plains Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
Even in death, her wish is to continue to take care of others. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Noah Project, 1636 North 20th Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
