Sue B. Henderson

Mary Sue Barnes Henderson, 88, of Abilene, passed away on June 15, 2021.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday June 18, 2021, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Pastor David Cason, officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman City Cemetery, Coleman, Tx.

Sue was born in Prosper, Tx. September 14, 1932. She went to school at Prosper and later studied at Decatur Baptist College and Hardin-Simmons University. She married Ardell Henderson, who preceded her in death. She retired from federal government service. She was a claims representative for the Social Security Administration. She was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church since 1970.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and four older sisters.

Sue is survived by her son, James Henderson and his wife, Rosemary Henderson: her brother, Glen Barnes and his wife, Joyce Barnes: and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Etheredge, Jeremy Karnes, John Mixon, Keith Hale, Robert Mitchell.

Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association in Sue’s memory.
