Stella Griggs Dunlap

Stella G. Dunlap, 78, departed this world on Saturday, October 8, 2022, to be with her beloved husband, Bill. She was born on April 13, 1944, to Sara Griggs and William Berry Griggs (Dub).

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, with funeral services at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 13 at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Ross Cemetery in Baird.

Stella retired from First Financial Bank as the Senior Vice President of the Trust and Asset Management department. Though Stella and Bill had no children of their own, they loved their nieces and nephews as if they were their own. Special thanks to Steve Chance for all he did over the years for Bill and Stella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara Griggs, and William Berry Griggs (Dub); her husband, Billy Boyd Dunlap; her sister, Leila Collins. She is survived by her brother-in-law, David M. Collins of Abilene; and nieces and nephews Jami and Steve Chance and family of Baird; Kari and Aaron McCoy and family of Dallas; David Jr. and Sissy Collins and family of Cisco.
