Stella Louise Burke Walls

Stella Louise Burke Walls, 71, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Buffalo Gap, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Big Cove Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Green Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home, 2411 North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, Alabama. Local arrangements were by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Stella was born in Big Cove, Alabama to Aubrey and Leona Burke. She attended Madison County High School in Gurley, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Leona Burke. Stella is survived by her daughter, Lisa Walls-Huntley and husband, Brian; her son, Billy Walls, Jr.; her grandson, Hunter Walls-Wood, all of Abilene, Texas. She is also survived by two sisters, Libby Beard of Stockbridge, Georgia and Marie Guthrie of Huntsville, Alabama; and one brother, Nelson Burke of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Mike Guthrie, Craig Guthrie, Brian Burke, Bradley Martin, Larry Ivy and Jimmy Guthrie. Darryl Walls will serve as honorary pallbearer.
