St. Clair Whitten Ziegler peacefully passed away at her home on May 8, 2014. She was gifted with the ability to connect with those blessed to have crossed her path via funny stories, an infectious smile, zest for life and just knowing the right thing to say when you needed a kind word or life lesson. She has touched so many people during her lifetime and all that knew her will miss her dearly.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Whitten, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ziegler; daughter, Patricia Harless; brothers, James Whitten and C. G. Whitten, Jr.
Clair is survived by her beloved daughter, Monte Hist and husband Paul; sister, Pam Clements and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Mendy Hist, Andrew Hist and Devon St. Clair Harless; and great-grandchild; Merritt St. Clair Salinas. She also leaves behind her treasured nieces and nephews, Julie Burdick, Jenny Whitten, Blake Whitten, Christin Miller, Stephen Clements, and Judson Clements; sister-in-law, Alene Cantrell, and special family friend, Johnny Ray Byrd.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 6-8 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 12 at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with The Rev. N. Luke Back and Rev. Msgr. Fred Nawarskas will officiate.
