Sherry Lynn (Green) Gamblin born August 1, 1967, in Socorro New Mexico to Norman (Shorty) and Sylvia Green. Her courageous fight with cancer ended September 3, 2024, in Abilene Texas, surrounded by her mother, children, and sisters.
Visitation will be 1:00pm with memorial services starting at 2:00pm on Saturday September 14, 2024 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Abilene, Texas 79606.
Sherry attended school and graduated in Carlsbad New Mexico. She received her Bachelor's degree from Eastern New Mexico and her Master's Degree from Abilene Christian University. Sherry was an entrepreneur and started her own business in Texas. She was an educator and taught students in Amargosa Nevada, Tucumcari New Mexico, and across the Big Country in Texas. She had a passion for students with special needs.
She is survived by her children Cullen and Kylee Gamblin of Anson Texas, Mother Sylvia Burkitt Green, sisters Luhree (William) Riggs and Julie (Scott) Wade of Abilene Texas. Special friend and dancing partner Larry Segura of Baird Texas, former husband Brent Gamblin of Anson Texas, and an abundance of special friends, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews across the U.S.
Sherry was proceeded in death by her Father Norman (Shorty) Green. Her heart was full, and she always put everyone above herself. Sherry lived life to its fullest and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, students, and loved ones.
