Sheron Casey

Sheron Worley Casey of View, Texas, was born to Robert Lee Worley and Colleen Hadley Worley in Anaheim, California on December 11, 1961. She died at the age of 54 on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Sheron attended grade school in California and Texas after the family moved to Abilene in 1970. She continued her education in Abilene Public Schools graduating from Abilene High School in 1980. Upon graduation, she worked at various places in Abilene including Merchant Motor Lines, City of Abilene Housing Authority, several banks, and most recently for the past several years for Wylie ISD in the high school special needs department. She had a special love for children and babies. Sheron is survived by her husband Johnny of View; two sons, Bryon Casey and wife Michelle of Potosi, and Kyle Casey and wife Stephanie of Ovalo; two daughters, Sarah Casey and Sadie Casey both of View; and grandchildren, Aspasia McArthur, Lealah Casey of Potosi, and Sutton Casey and Sawyer Casey of Ovalo. Survivors also include her parents, Robert Lee Worley and Colleen Hadley Worley of View; one sister, Denise Worley of Abilene, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 15, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3325 North 12th Street. Burial will follow in Drummond Cemetery in Taylor County, Texas. Pallbearers will be Cecil Davis, Don Harrison, Austin Madore, Dan Nevil, Ken Nichols and Brandt Worley. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Bessent, Jay Speegle and Joe Whitehorn. The family expresses special thanks to the Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute for Advanced Heart and Lung Disease, Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas staff, and South Taylor County EMS for their generosity Memorials may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
