Sharron Kaye Witt

Sharron Kaye Starks Witt, 48, died Monday in Abilene. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Her body will be cremated. Sharron was born August 14, 1958 in Abilene to Odis and Elizabeth Reynolds Starks. She attended school in Abilene and graduated from Cooper High School. She married Leighton Witt on August 24, 1979 in Abilene where the couple made their home. Sharron had worked for 5 years for the State Department of Health Services, and was employed by Abilene State School as a direct supervisor in the infirmary. An outdoor person, she loved to work in her garden. She was a loving person, always putting others needs before her own. Her granddaughter and her two dogs played a special role in her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Odis Starks, and two brothers, Odis Starks, Jr. and Darrell Starks. Survivors include: her husband, Leighton Witt of Abilene; her mother, Betty Starks of Abilene; two daughters, Tammy Witt of Abilene and Pam Witt of Washington; two brothers, Bill and wife Robin Starks along with Kelsey and wife Sharon Starks all of Abilene; four sisters, Dianne and husband Bob Boysen, Shirley Davila, Margaret and husband Steve Drazee, and Betty and Bruce Henager all of Abilene; her granddaughter, Kadence Chapman of Abilene; her two dogs, Molly and Naz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 149 North Willis, Ste. 10, Abilene, TX 79603. The family will receive friends at their home, after the service on Friday, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
