Sharon Janice (Rogers) Scott
Sharon Janice Scott, age 82, of Abilene, passed away on April 13, 2021, in Abilene.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday April 18, 2021, at Iberis Cemetery. Brother Rudy Fambrough, of Crescent Heights Baptist Church, 1902 N Mockingbird Lane, Abilene, Texas, presiding. Services are under the direction of the Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene Texas.
Sharon was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Jack Cecil Rogers and Jessie Mae (Pike) Rogers. They relocated to Abilene, Texas, within the Wylie School District.
Sharon was a vibrant woman, with a remarkable spirit to serve others. She served the public for many years in various vocations, including Book Keeping. She enjoyed working in any area needed at Mack Eplen’s Cafeteria which was a favorite occupation of hers for many years. She loved working as a cleric for a very long term at the Thrifty Nickel. Sharon was warm, charming, and had a great sense of humor; she never met a stranger.
Sharon was preceded in death by, her parents, Jack Cecil Rogers and Jessie Mae Pike Rogers; first husband Ted Condiff, second husband, Stephen Scott; brother Malcolm Marshall; Sister Josephine Elizabeth (Rogers) Swett; son Ronald Everett Condiff; and beloved brother James Edward Rogers.
Sharon is survived by sister Wanda Jean Rogers Cadell and husband Larry Cadell; sister Yvonne Rogers Lange and husband Keith Lange; Sisters-in-law Helon Marshall and Louise Rogers; and children, daughter, Tedi Lorraine Condiff Howerton and husband Paul Howerton; daughter, Martha Janice Condiff Harris and husband Tim Harris; daughter, Michelle Bennett Murray and husband Robert Murray; son Frank Alan Scott and wife, Robyn Woody; and daughter Penny Scott Ross. Sharon was also survived by her pride, 11 grandchildren (and their many friends) and 14 great grandchildren. She was known to all as Nana. The Family thanks all of you who loved Sharon/Nana as we did. You were all special to her, and she loved all of the people who touched her life.
The Family of Sharon Scott wishes to extend very special thanks to Dr. Robert Striegler and Staff for the excellent medical care Sharon received while his patient. We thank you so much.
Additionally, The Family of Sharon Scott would like to extend a very special thanks to the entire Care Staff at Wisteria Place Skilled Nursing Center and Rehab, where she had numerous stays during her last years. During her stays at Wisteria Place, Sharon made friends with all of the staff, who made her stays so pleasant, that she actually enjoyed being at the facility. She loved those who cared for her, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you all, so much.
