Sharon Elaine Fitzgerald Vinson

Sharon Elaine Fitzgerald Vinson was called home to be with Jesus Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Elaine was born to Charles Leroy and Gwen Fitzgerald on October 2, 1957 in Jacksboro, Texas. Elaine moved to Abilene, Texas and married the love of her life, Randell Don Vinson on May 18, 1985. They were blessed with two children, Jessica Paige and Michael Joseph. Elaine loved those around her intensely and always expressed her love with the heart of a servant. She was a child of God, constantly seeking to love the Lord better every day. Her vivacity for life and incredible personality will be missed by many until we meet again. Elaine was preceded in Heaven by her father, Charles Leroy Fitzgerald. On earth she leaves behind her husband of 29 years, Randy; daughter, Jessica Garcia and her husband Ricky of Houston; and son, Michael Joseph Vinson of Abilene. Also, she is survived by her mother, Gwen Fitzgerald of Jacksboro, Texas; brother, Ronald Fitzgerald and wife Anna of Jacksboro; Randy’s parents, Dub and Monty Vinson; her brother-in-law, Lanny Vinson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Knight officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
