Shaelly Beth Rausch

Shaelly Beth Rausch, 36, died April 23, 2006, at a local hospital in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be held at the Hamil Family Funeral Home, Abilene, Texas, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26th at the River of Life Church located at 539 Highway 83-84, Abilene, Texas, with Dr. David Ray officiating, burial will take place at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Highway 277 S., Abilene, Texas. Shaelly was born October 24, 1969 in Rockwell City, Iowa to Janet and Frank Rausch. She graduated from Abilene Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas, and graduated from Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Texas with a teaching degree. Shaelly taught English at A.J. Breismeister Middle School in Seguin, Texas for seven years. She was a longtime resident of Abilene, Texas, a member of the River of Life Church, a member of the Dean's List Texas Lutheran College, a member and advocate of the Lupus Foundation, Seguin ISD Teacher of the Year, the president and member of Kappa Pi Gamma Sorority, Master's of Education Candidate-Reading Specialist HSU, Sigma Lambda Chi Little Sister, a devoted Sunday School Teacher at Faith Lutheran Church and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. Survivors include her father, Frank Rausch and wife, Melinda, her mother, Janet Rausch, her grandparents, Wayne and Dorothy Brown of LeMars, Iowa, her brother, David S. Rausch of Abilene, Texas, her sisters, Michelle R. Holcomb and husband, Dr. Richard A. Holcomb of San Antonio, Texas, and Megan Rausch of Abilene, Texas, several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Shaelly is remembered as a devoted Christian, loving sister, beautiful daughter. She loved her family and cats, Onyx and Brandy. Her strength and love for the simple things in life shines in all of the lives that she touched. She will be dearly missed, but is at peace with the Lord living eternal life forever.
