Selah Hope was born Tuesday, April 25, 2017, to Clay and Hannah Jowers at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Her name describes what she inspired in the lives of her family and those involved in their lives. The anticipation of her birth and life brought hope and joy into their hearts, and though she never took a breath of this world's air, her life and unexpected death are still pointing people to Jesus, the only true source of hope, joy and peace in this life.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Wayland Warren Jowers and Lorene England Jowers, and Billy Blake Wood and Helen Jeanne Rosenquist Wood; and maternal great-grandfather, James Wright Jones.
She is survived by parents, Charles Clayton Jowers, and Hannah Jones Jowers; siblings, Aliyah, Micah, Josiah and Lilah; grandparents, Charles and Jeanne Jowers, and Brand and Jennifer Jones; great-grandparents, John and Tina Hunter, and Shirley M. Jones; aunts and uncles, Callie Jowers, Erin Jowers, Hunter and Marloes Jones, Houston Jones, Will and Kaely Tippen, Jay and Carrie Tippen, Will and Elly Doran, Jeff and Emily Callaway, Nicole and Bob Woodard; and cousins, Dylan, Tristan, Eden, Maya, Clarity, Sam, Lucy Jane, Samuel, Henry, Kade, Korbyn, Kaitlyn, Stetson, Shiloh, Troy and Emma.
Gravesides services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, in Tecumseh Cemetery in Callahan County, under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
