Scotty Wood Lindley, 66, of Abilene, passed from this life on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Abilene.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday December 18, 2020 in the Chapel at Beltway Park Church, 4009 Beltway S.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Beltway Park Church South with David McQueen and Randy Turner, officiating. Interment will follow in the Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The wearing of masks and social distancing is strongly encouraged. There will be a dedicated, Mask Required Section at the funeral service.
Scotty was born on May 29, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Bartholomew and Beulah (Watterson) Lindley. He graduated from Clarendon High School in 1972 and Texas Tech University in 1985 with a degree in Business Administration.
Scotty and Terry Lee Ramsey were married on May 21, 1977 in Shamrock, Texas. He and Terry moved to Abilene in 1991 from Richardson, Texas, where they planted roots. He currently was serving as President of the Abilene Branch of the First National Bank of Albany/Breckenridge. He was a founding member of Beltway Park Church South and serving as an Elder Emeritus.
Scotty is survived by his wife, Terry of Abilene; one daughter, Ashly Tara Nicholas and husband Derrick of Midland, Texas; two sons, Landon Scott Lindley and wife Chelsea and Lance Wood Lindley and wife MacKenzi all of Abilene; and five grandchildren, Coy, Creede, and Crayton Nicholas and Graham and Luke Lindley, as well as twin girls due to arrive in early 2021.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Ramsey, Lawrence Ramsey, David Ramsey, Derrick Nicholas, Scott Lindley, Landon Lindley, and Lance Lindley.
Family suggests memorials may be made to Beltway Park Church, Abilene Clay Sports, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Jewish Voice Ministries International.
