Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ruby Virginia Curtis Ford, fondly called Ruby Jane, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Ruby Jane was born September 10, 1926 to Robert Leroy Curtis and Esther Emma Bennett in Alma, Arkansas. She married Wyatt Lamont Robinson in 1945 and lived many places in Kansas raising their children. She worked many jobs to help support her family from working in the fields, milking cows and waitressing, but her most rewarding job was being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A job if you ask her family they would tell you she did with unconditional and undeniable love and strength.
In 1974 she married her soul mate Frank D. Ford in Anson, Texas. She helped Frank in his business, Ranger Plant Constructional Company for many years.
She was spunky and full of life. She gave the best hugs and gave of herself fully to all she met. She was the matriarch of her family in the truest sense of the word. She loved and enjoyed her church family at Hamby Baptist Church where she was a member. She loved helping children through the Optimist Club and volunteering to take kids Christmas shopping and helping with the Hot Air Balloon Fest.
Ruby Jane was welcomed into Heaven by her Heavenly Father and her family that preceded her in death: her father and mother; husband, Frank D. Ford; sister, Ora Ruth Curtis; brother, Leroy Curtis; daughter, Faye Starks; grandsons, Leroy Wyatt Robinson Jr. and Paul Michael Glorioso; great-great-grandson, Bronson Lannaconne and niece, Linda Curtis.
She is survived by daughters: Beverly Krupp and husband Owen of Hutchinson, KS, Carolyn Wilbanks and husband Randy of Tecumseh, OK, Pamela Bubolz and husband Gerald of Gilbert, AZ, Nancy Miller and husband Donny of Waco, TX, Virginia Pirraglia and husband Orville of Springtown, TX, Robin Robinson Hicks and husband Dwain of Abilene, TX, and Francie Ford also of Abilene, TX; former daughter-in-law: Joyce Robinson of Lewisville, TX; sons: Leroy Robinson and wife Lenore of Rowlett, TX, Curtis Robinson and wife Shelly of Great Bend, KS, Kelly Robinson and wife Deborah of Denton, TX and Frank D. Ford Jr. and wife Tina of Austin, TX; sister, Shirley Standridge of Mulberry, AR; brother, Curtis Case of Greenbrier, AR; 33 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Bubolz, Jerry Mize, Gary Smith, Orville Ray Pirraglia Jr., John Robinson, Brandon Hicks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Collin Robinson, Bailey Hicks, Kutter Pirraglia , Danny Smith, Kristerfer Boyett, Micheal Boyett, Travis Ford, David Carpenter, Ben Folk .
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Leverton for helping our Mom to have many more years with us.
