Roger “Kenneth” Glover

Roger “Kenneth” Glover, 80, of Abilene passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 in Sweetwater, Texas.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2025, at Iberis Cemetery in Abilene, with David Doan officiating.

Kenneth was born on April 27, 1944, in Abilene, Texas to Roger (Fritz) Glover and Faye (Whitley) Glover. He attended and graduated from Wylie High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Jean Davidson on December 21, 1962, and they were blessed with 3 children, Keith, Randy, and Karen. Kenneth proudly owned Plastic Wholesale Plumbing Supply for 39 years. Kenneth and Gloria spent much of their free time dancing to Western Swing music, where they met many life-long friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice Kelley, brother-in-law Rick Kelley, sister-in-law Pam Glover, and daughter Karen Bowden.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria Glover; his brother Dean Glover of Abilene, sister Patty Karr and husband Marty of Port Aransas; his children Keith Glover and wife Ange of Abilene, Randy Glover and wife Amy of Conroe; his grandchildren Donovan Doan, Makenzie Quincey and husband Ashton, Kerbie Shadle and husband Brody, Drew Guerra and husband Edwin, and Jack Glover. Great-Grandchildren Denver, Sutton, Denton, Callahan, Hayden, and Stevie Sue.
