Robert Blake Tenison, Jr.

Robert Blake Tenison, Jr., passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Robert Blake Tenison, Jr. became a child of Anna Jo and Robert Blake Tenison in Fort Worth, Texas on May 21, 1954. Bob grew up in Calgary, Canada where he graduated from Henry Wisewood High School. After graduation, Bob attended University of Arizona. Bob enjoyed music and played the drums in a band, Abacus, for many years before starting his career in Oil and Gas with Triton Oil and Gas then transitioning to Tenison Oil Company in 1989. Bob was a kind person who cared for people. Bob loved his Denver Broncos and loved to watch and talk about sports with his son, Blake. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Terry Lynn Tenison; mother, Anna Jo Tenison; father Robert B. Tenison, Sr.; and brother John Thomas Tenison. Bob is survived by his son, Robert Blake, III of Abilene, TX, brother William Tenison and wife Barbara of Abilene, TX, sister Susan Tenison of Littleton, CO, and Sarah Tenison of Centennial, CO. Nephews John Thomas Tenison and wife Jessica of Wesley Chapel, FL; Willam Sean Tenison and wife Amanda of Quitman, TX; Stephen Tenison of Abilene; Nieces Heather Tenison of Englewood, CO; Maiga Macke of Littleton, CO. Bob also had family and many friends who will miss him dearly. Memorials may be given to MDA in Robert Blake Tenison, Jr's name.
