Robert Mouser

Robert "Bob" Mouser died Monday, September 14, 2009 in Abilene, Texas. Born in East Alton, Illinois, Bob graduated from Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, Tennessee, and moved to Abilene to attended Abilene Christian College. He graduated from ACC with an accounting degree in August of 1959. He worked in accounting firms before establishing his own practice, Mouser & Young, CPA's, in 1963. Throughout his professional career, he owned and operated several Abilene businesses. He married Bennie Ruth George in Brownwood, Texas. Bob was a member of Westgate Church of Christ. He was a lifetime member of both the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was also a member of The International Rotary Club. A son, Don Mouser; his parents; and one brother preceded Bob in death. Bob is survived by his son, Daryll Mouser; grandson, Jonathan; sister, Yvonne; and brother, Richard. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 17, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
