Robert James Kielman

Robert James Kielman, 66, of Abilene, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018.  Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.  Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, followed by a prayer service beginning at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30th at the funeral home.

Bob was born December 29, 1951 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Robert Joseph Kielman and Mariann Alice (Westra) Kielman.  He graduated from South Dakota State University and served in the United States Air Force.  Bob married Darlene Duke.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Bob is survived by his wife, Darlene Kielman of Abilene; his father, Robert Joseph Kielman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one daughter, Candie Benetiz of Abilene; three sons, Joshua Kielman and wife Jessica of Tacoma, Washington, Jonathan Kielman and wife Ashley of Ft. Worth, and Anthony Kielman of Abilene;; two brothers, Dave Kielman and wife Mary Lou of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Kenneth Kielman and wife Vicki of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Linda Chilson and husband Danny of Lebanon, Oregon; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be: Joshua Kielman, Jonathan Kielman, Anthony Kielman, Christopher Patterson, Andre Hallum and David Massey.
