Ricky Jay Graham

Ricky Jay Graham, 62, of Buffalo Gap, Texas, passed away on January 30, 2021 in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday February 4, 2021 at Wylie Baptist Church with Ronnie Guess and Mike Harkrider of Wylie Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Ricky was born in Abilene, Texas to Larry and Billie Graham on February 3, 1958. He graduated from Wylie High School in 1976. He married Rhonda Hart on August 14, 1982 in Abilene, Texas. He enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball and basketball through their younger years while supporting his daughter in cheerleading. Of all things in life, Ricky loved the outdoors with hunting and fishing, where he shared this hobby with all of his children. His granddaughters were his pride and joy as he always looked forward to supporting them in their extracurricular events. He currently worked as a Sales Manager for Pitts Oilfield Products & Services in San Angelo, Texas.

Ricky was preceded in death by his step-dad John Herod, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wince Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Trout, and father and mother in law, Buster and Faye Hart.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhonda Graham; daughter, Kelsey Graham of Willow Park, Texas; sons, Dakota Graham and wife Misty of Abilene and Colter Graham of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Haven and Hartley Graham; parents, Larry and Billie Graham of Buffalo Gap; sisters, Christie Stephens and husband Brent, Shona Williford and husband Shane, Brandi Graham; step-brother, Jerry Newton and wife Paula, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Ricky was loved and respected by so many and never met a stranger. He never went anywhere he didn’t know someone. If we can all leave a legacy behind like he did, the world would be a better place.

Pallbearers will be Terry Ake, Scott Ake, Darrel Ford, Trey Carpenter, Brent Stephens and Mark White.

The family of Ricky wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses; especially Nurse Kevin. A special thanks to Kyle Miller, Jon Earley, and Kelly White for giving Ricky a chance for survival.
