Richie Johnson, 47, of Stamford, Texas, passed away on December 5th, 2017 in Stamford, Texas.
Visitation will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm Friday December 15th, 2017 at Southwest Drive Community United Methodist Church located at 3025 Southwest Drive, Abilene, Texas 79605.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas 79606. Reverand Iziar Lankford of Southwest Drive Community United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
Richie was born in Abilene, Texas to Earnest and Lillie Faye Johnson on October 30th, 1970. He attended and graduated from Abilene High School where he played football and ran track. Richie later moved to Oklahoma to pursue his management career. After returning to Texas and discovering his passion for managing and leading others, he moved to Stamford, Texas and became the assistant manager at Tractor Supply.
Richie was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Faye Johnson, brother, Christopher Tyree Johnson, and the mother of his two daughters, Carrie Newels.
Richie is survived by Jennifer Ann, special mate; his sons, Chevayae Johnson and Chris Johnson; daughters, Chardinae Moore, Lyric Johnson and Alexis Johnson. He also leaves to cherish his father, Earnest Johnson, Jackie Kimble, special mate to Earnest; his grandchildren, Maunkeithdrick Moore Jr., Darreon Moore, Roquis Moore, Le'Asia Moore, Jaslene Johnson and Kayden Johnson, along with his step children, Jacelyn, Jameson and Gary Bell, III and Alex Hoppe. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends are also left to cherish his life and his legacy.
