Richard (Dick) Wildman, 68, of Abilene, passed away on August 31, 2015.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 4, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Brother Charles Love, a former missionary, officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Dick was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Orval and Doris Wildman on November 29, 1946. He attended school at Southwestern High in Hanover, Indiana, and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene in 1971.
He married Bonita Brooks on May 16, 1970 in Abilene. He worked as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager for Royce Brooks Garage for 44 years. Dick was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Doris Wildman of Madison, Indiana.
Dick is survived by his wife Bonita Brooks Wildman; two sons, Steve and Kristi Wildman and their daughters Whitnee, Alexandra (Alex) and Sydnee of Yuba City, California, and Brent and Tiffany Wildman and their children Mallory and Grayson of Abilene; brother Jim and Kathy Wildman and their daughters Stacy and Stephanie of Deputy, Indiana; brother Jeff and Terry Wildman and their daughters Lorraine and Carisa of Madison, Indiana; brothers-in-law Bobby and Kathy Brooks of Abilene, and Jerry and Suzanne Brooks and their children Lance and Lisa Brooks of Murphy, North Carolina.
Dick’s greatest joy in life was when God blessed him and Bonita with two boys, Steve and Brent Wildman, of whom he was so proud. He and Bonita were then blessed again with four beautiful granddaughters and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Mike Martin, Steve McNeill, Ronnie Piland, Ken Ramey, Danny Hogue, Don West, Jay Barbian and Scott Brown.
