Richard Burton Weeks

Richard Burton Weeks, 71, of Abilene, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at a local nursing center. Born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 28, 1937, Richard was the son of Leona (Dewey) and Lesley Young Weeks. He was a career truck driver. His parents and one brother, Alfred Weeks, preceded him in death. Richard is survived by his friend, Sandra Flowers of Abilene; son, Richard Burton Weeks, Jr. of Abilene; daughter, Susan McDaniel of May, Texas; three brothers, James Weeks of Evant, Texas, Bill Weeks of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Gail Weeks of Lampasas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, with Dr. David Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
