Resa Reedy

Resa Kidd Reedy, age 60, of Tuscola, passed away on May 21, 2023, at her home in Tuscola surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX 79606.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Beltway Park Church Chapel, 4009 S. Beltway, Abilene, TX 79606 with Pastor David McQueen officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Gap Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Resa was born in Abilene, Texas on August 20, 1962 to Charles and Natha Kidd. Resa graduated from Cooper High School in 1980 and obtained a degree in business from Hardin Simmons University in 1984. Resa married Randall Reedy on July 1, 2000 in Abilene, Texas. Resa spent her business career in financial planning and pharmaceutical sales. Over the years, Resa served in many civic organizations including the Board of Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau, Leadership Abilene, Leadership Texas and Texas Wildlife Association Women of the Land.

Resa was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Natha Kidd.

Resa is survived by her husband, Randall Reedy, her children Kristina Akers (Ira), Kara Birge (George), R. J. Reedy (Charlotte), her brother Ronnie Kidd (Sheila), her sister, Rebecca Michalek (Gary), six grandchildren, and many adored nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Greg Johnson, Chase Michalek, Riley Kidd, Kirby Kidd, and Cole Michalek and her sons-in-law, Ira Akers and George Birge.
