Relda Marie Dickson

Relda Dickson, 82, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Bob Wright officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Runnels County. October 23, 1924, Relda was born in Cisco, Texas to Kendrick Young and Davida (Bedford) Young. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo Junior College. In 1984, Relda moved to Abilene from Sallisaw, Oklahoma in Sequoyah County. She was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Abilene and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Preceding Relda in death were her parents and her husband, Grady Dickson in 1989. She is survived by two sons, Robert K. Dickson and his wife Terry of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania and William E. Dickson and his wife Brenda Mears of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Karen Eichinger, Benjamin Dickson, Rachael Dickson, all of Dallas, Galene Seiler of Clifton, Virginia, Greg Dickson of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, and Cindy Dickson of Richmond, Virginia. Memorials may be made in honor of Relda Dickson to the Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 3302 State Street, Abilene, Texas 79603.
