Rebecca (Becky) Eloise Gragg, 51, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2011 in Abilene, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5th, in Elmwood Memorial Park. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, 701 South Pioneer Drive, with Rev. Stan Allcorn and Dr. Jeff Reid officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in "The Cafe" at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
Becky was born on March 30, 1959 in Kermit, Texas to Harry and Dannie (Welch) Morris. She grew up in Notrees, TX, Bronte, TX, and Ballinger, TX, graduating from Ballinger High School. In May of 1981, Becky graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hardin-Simmons University, where she met her husband, Gary Gragg, whom she married on July 11, 1981 in Abilene. Gary and Becky had three sons.
Since 1977, Becky had been a resident of Abilene. She was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church and worked for Tommy Morris Insurance Agency as an insurance assistant.
Becky was a quiet and loving wife and mother that had a wonderful sense of humor and passion for the Lord. She was an active member of her church, Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. She lived by her favorite Bible verse which comes from Proverbs 3:5-6 which reads, "Trust in the lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Becky is survived by her husband, Gary Gragg of Abilene, and their three sons, Jared Gragg (25) and wife Hollie, and Colton Gragg (23) and wife Betsy, all of Lubbock, and Parker Gragg (19) of Abilene. Survivors also include her parents Harry and Dannie Morris of Mt. Vernon, Washington; sister, Phyllis Middleton of Seattle, Washington; brother, Keith Morris and wife Mixy of Central China; and nieces and nephews, Courtney Schuessler and Kenny, Cody Ellis, Genesis Morris, Michael Morris, and Hannah Morris.
Becky requested that memorials in her honor, or even in lieu of flowers, can be made to World Missions Offering in care of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
