Raymond Lee

Raymond Hugh ("Bud") Lee, 86, of Buffalo Gap passed away on March 8, 2024 in Abilene, TX.

Raymond was born August 13, 1937, to Cecil C. and Ira Reed Lee in Hawley, Texas. The family later lived in Levelland, then moved to Odessa.  Raymond graduated from Odessa High School.  Raymond worked in the oilfields in West Texas, Alaska, Oklahoma, and the Texas Gulf Coast for Rowan Drilling Company in many positions.  He was a veteran of the Air Force and a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed reading Louis L’Amour books and taking care of his beloved pets.  He also enjoyed rebuilding classic roadster cars and tinkering with anything mechanical. 

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Blanche, two brothers Cecil Jr and Jimmy.

Raymond is survived by his sons Danny Lee and Michael Lee, granddaughters, Danielle and Hannah Lee, sisters Shirley Farris and Patricia Desmond, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Hendrick Health organization.

The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to all the capable and caring staff at Hendrick North and South CCU for their outstanding care of Raymond and kindness and support for his family.  Special thanks to Drs Mark Lawrence, Charles Mascioli and his other outstanding doctors, nurses and care providers.  Raymond's sons, granddaughters, sisters, and nieces who were with him appreciate all the prayers and support.
