Joyce Henry Glasgow, 79, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at an Abilene medical center. Born in Buffalo Gap, Texas on April 26, 1933, she was born a twin to Ella Mae (Harrison) and Glen E. Johnson. Joyce worked as a watchmaker with Timex for ten years. She previously worked at Bob's Ice Cream Shop in the Mall of Abilene for ten years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Buffalo Gap. She was preceded in death by two husbands, A.C. Henry on April 9, 1982, and Joe Tom Glasgow on September 19, 2010; her father, Glen E. Johnson; her mother, Ella Mae Johnson; and two sisters, Peggy Brolls and Glena Hailey. Joyce is survived by her son, Charlie Henry of Fort Worth; daughter, Della Henry of Buffalo Gap, Texas; nephew/son, Larry Brookreson of Buffalo Gap; twin sister, Dolly Loyce Campbell of Klamath Falls, Oregon; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, at First Baptist Church of Buffalo Gap with Joe De Angelis officiating. Interment will follow in Buffalo Gap Cemetery directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 19, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, TX 79601.
