Pierre Neal Samford

Pierre N. Samford, 91, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Abilene. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 14th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 15th at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Christopher officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 P.M. in the Breckenridge Cemetery in Breckenridge, Texas. Pierre was born in Desdemona, TX to Thomas & Lucia Samford on December 16, 1926. He was married to Lina Sue Milam. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a surveyor for Teledyne Expiration. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Pierre was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Lucinda Ann Woodard. He is survived by his wife Lina Samford of Abilene. Two sons; Gary Samford and wife Tana of Bastrop & Sam Samford of Buffalo Gap. One sister; Betty Tekell of Wingate. Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
