PHYLLIS ALMA MILNE
Phyllis Milne, 67, died Monday, January 30, 2006 in a local hospital. A funeral mass, with Father Fred Narwarskas officiating, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 2, 2006 in Holy Family Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 5:30 P.M. in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Phyllis was born October 27, 1938 in San Francisco, California to Glenn and Adeline (Pellicani) Cullum. She attended school in San Francisco graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1956. After high school she attended and graduated from cosmetology school in 1958. On January 10, 1959, Phyllis married Robert L. (Roy) Milne at the U.S. Marine Corps Base in Twenty Nine Palms, California. The couple made their home in the San Francisco Bay area until 1978, when they began to travel in conjunction with Roy's work locating in Abilene in 1994. Phyllis was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, as well as the vocal leader of the "Chunky Dunkers" water aerobics exercise class at the Red Bud Park YMCA. She was a master gardener and a member of the Red Hat Club but above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include: her husband, Roy Milne of Abilene; California; two daughters, Kathleen Smartt of Great Falls, Montana and Kelly Hatcher of San Mateo, California, one son, Sean Milne of Pleasanton, and five grandchildren, Aubrey, Ryan, Lindsey, Wyatt and Jennifer.
