Peggy Joyce Stephens

Peggy Joyce Stephens, 80, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at her home in Abilene, Texas. Born in Lockhart, Texas on February 16, 1931, she was the daughter of Margaret Louise (Hall) and Wilson Cunningham Thompson. She was a homemaker and a Baptist, having been the wife of a Baptist minister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Merle Stephens on March 12, 2006; her parents; and a brother, Gene Thompson. Peggy Joyce is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Vicky Dyer and James of Rockwall, Texas and Joyce Lynnette Jones and Philip of Abilene; four grandchildren, Stephen Warrick, Lora Kendrick, Wesley Jones and Vicky Jones; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Kendrick, Emmalie Kendrick, Jenna Kendrick, Cody Warrick and Corrie Warrick; two nieces and one nephew. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8th, in Roby Cemetery in Roby, Texas with Joe Dan Kendrick officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
